Gemsboks are a very attractive large antelope species from southern Africa. They have light grey bodies with a black and white mask like coloration on their heads, and long tails that almost drag the ground. Mature bulls weigh around 400lbs. Horns on trophy bulls are long and straight and measure 34+ inches with an exceptional bull being 36+.
Gemsbok can be harvested any month of the year, as they don’t change coloration or coat quality throughout the seasons. The animals can be hunted from a box blind August to January, with safari style being the best option the other months.
