Red Deer

animals_redeerOriginally from Europe, red deer are a very attractive and majestic animal with bulls weighing 400 to 550lbs.

Our management bulls have approximately 10 to 16 points and score between 240 and 300 S.C.I., but are fairly rare in our herd. Our trophy bulls are tremendous and will rival those large bulls from many locations in New Zealand. They usually have 18 to 30 points, and score from the low 300’s to over 400 inches S.C.I. The best time to hunt a red deer bull is late August to September. Although they hold their antlers much longer, antler breakage and scared capes are common in the later months.
